I have always been interested in creating things that are neat, structured, and logical, an interest that began with Lego and later extended to academic writing. I now focus on producing compact academic documents that summarize entire subjects in medicine, some of which have been used by a wider group of students. This interest originated with the summaries I created in high school at the European School of Mol. One of my English summaries was shared across several European Schools in Europe and received feedback from students there.
The following are the first major summaries I created, with the first still written without LaTeX:
- 📘 Chemie examen 2023
- 📘 Eindexamen Wiskunde 5p 2025 NL; 📘 Final Exam Math 5p 2025 EN
- 📘 Final Exam Math Advanced 2025
I currently focus on creating high-quality summaries in LaTeX, which offers considerably more control over structure and presentation than conventional word processors. This is also why I may appear to be “coding” during medicine lectures.
My workflow begins with detailed notes taken during in-person lectures, including diagrams and explanations from the professor. I then complete and refine these notes using lecture recordings. During the final weeks of the semester, I consolidate everything into a clean, academically readable document. I write the material myself before structuring and refining it. I rarely use AI, except occasionally for grammar corrections or complex LaTeX/TikZ diagrams. Before publishing, I also have someone I trust review the document. I do not charge for these summaries, as I believe educational material should remain freely accessible. For now, I intend to continue creating them throughout my bachelor’s degree. I have not yet decided how, or to what extent, I will continue sharing them during my master’s years, particularly in the final year.
